- I have noticed a problem with PageStream 3.0h2 when printing a page which
- has a few bitmapped pictures on it... The page will occasionally print as
- some sort of 'screendump', approximately at 150 dpi instead of the maximum
- 600 dpi of HP LJ 5MP. I have not been able to figure out the reason for this,
- because it sometimes happens and sometimes not, without me doing any changes
- in the settings. The pages I print have always 4 bitmapped grayscale (256, IFF)
- pictures (200-350 KB each). I first supected that the laser would have some
- sort of 'emergency' function which will use 1/4 resolution in 'out of memory'
- situations, but I did not find any mention about such in the HP manual...
- On the other hand, I have 16 MB fast in my machine, so I doubt that Pagestream
- could have memory problems when printing 1-page documents which are smaller
- than 3 MB as PostSript files... Or could it? Any suggestions?
